From Rockford to Radio Star

Hailing originally from nearby Kent County, with formative years spent in Rockford and Sparta, Dillinger’s journey into radio began in the early 2000s at WSVA AM in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. What started as a simple job pushing buttons quickly turned into a whirlwind of opportunities, from reading news and weather to voicing commercials, running promotions, and eventually hosting shows across multiple formats.

“I got my start in a little mom-and-pop station,” Dillinger recalls. “It was the best time of my life—learning the ropes, experimenting with different genres, and connecting with listeners.”

Michigan Roots to WGLM 106.3FM

After years of bouncing between radio stations around the country, Dillinger returned to Michigan, joining well-known Grand Rapids stations like WLHT 95.7, 100.5 The River, and the legendary WGRD. His work on The Free Beer and Hot Wings Show and other top programs solidified his reputation as a versatile and engaging radio personality.

But life isn’t always about the spotlight. After taking time off to focus on his family and try his hand at various other jobs, Dillinger’s passion for radio pulled him back to the airwaves when WGLM offered him the morning show host position.
