This week we're heading down into true Lovecraft country, the underwater abyss where eldritch abominations await.
Underwater is a 2020 film starring Kristen Stewart, Vincent Cassel, and T. J. Miller as members of an oceanic researcher crew trying to get to safety after a mysterious earthquake devastates their facility at The Mariana Trench. The film takes influence from classic sci-fis such as Alien and The Thing; and the works of H. P. Lovecraft, chiefly his most famous short story, The Call of Cthulhu the popularized the genre of Cosmic Horror and Weird Fiction.
