Show Notes

When it opened in the summer of 2022, Humbug quickly became one of Newcastle’s must-visit restaurants. Stephanie Wells is restaurant manager and wine list curator, running Humbug alongside her chef husband Michael Portley. Steph is a Newcastle native who moved away before being drawn back home to raise a family and launch a business. It's an exciting time for this coastal regional city - the size and setting offers a great lifestyle and the community is invested in a vibrant food scene.
