The central question of the church with regard to culture is, “how will we relate to it?” Various approaches have been to abandon it, to oppose it, to accommodate it, to adopt it, and to preach to it.
This is part 2 of a sermon series called “The Issachar Factor.” The title finds its inspiration from when David was running from a jealous King Saul, God sent many men to help him. Among them were 200 men of Issachar “who had an understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do” (1 Chron. 12:32).
That’s the Issachar factor—the ability to understand the times and know what to do.
