Ep#57 Part 1. Trigger warning this episode contains the subject of rape, sexual abuse and suicide. Judith Castillo joins Melody & I to share her experience of growing up in the cult La Luz Del Mundo. Melody is my Co-Host for the cult episodes. There are 3 documentaries made about this cult. Naasón Joaquín García, the leader of the Mexico-based La Luz del Mundo megachurch, pleaded guilty in 2022 to sexually abusing three minors from his congregation. Judith Castillo was married to the grandson of Apostle Samuel Joaquín Flores. His son is Naasón Joaquín García who is the Uncle of Judith's husband. (Now ex husband) This is a very deep and complicated and terrible story that Judith shares with us. I want to thank Judith for coming on and sharing her trauma she endured. Stay tuned for Part 2.
