This is probably our first retrospective where the artist in question is on the fringe of what is considered "Hip-Hop". But as with all elements of art, it is always worth getting out of our comfort zone now and again. And DJ Shadow is a perfect subject to do so. And his creative narrative isn't too shabby either.
