Dr. Brice specializes in hematology and coagulation with 15 years of bench experience, management experience, process development, quality and compliance, and teaching experience. Her most recent position was the Hematology and Flow Cytometry Supervisor at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. She currently serves as Diagnostica Stago's Scientific Engagement & Clinical Education Specialist. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and designing Happy Planner layouts.

Stephanie joins us today to share with us what it's like being an educator. Not only will Stephanie share her experience, but Dave and Malissa will as well. Stephanie Cochrane, MS, MLS(ASCP) CM is a lecturer in the undergraduate medical laboratory science program at Rutgers University School of Health Professions where she primarily teaches Hematology I and II. Her research interests include active learning and implementing evidence-informed teaching strategies into practice. At the time of this recording, Stephanie was pursuing a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction degree from Liberty University and she has since earned her doctoral degree. A long-term professional goal of hers is to become an instructional coach to assist novice and veteran educators in implementing evidence-based teaching strategies into practice. Her favorite quote by Brad Henry is “A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love for learning”. Kim Murray graduated from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Medical Laboratory Science program in 2013. Kim was offered and accepted a position as a Generalist during her Clinical Internship at the VA Medical Center in Providence, RI. From graduation to May 2015 Kim worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, on second and first shift. In May 2015 Kim started her new career in IT at MEDITECH as a Laboratory Application Specialist, later moving to a Senior role. Sarah Botelho graduated from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2020. She started her career as a medical laboratory scientist in the blood bank for about one year before she started looking for other laboratory opportunities. Through her research, she discovered embryology and after touring an embryology laboratory, she realized this was how she wanted to further her career. She has been an embryologist for two years now and will graduate with her masters in Reproductive Clinical Science from Eastern Virginia Medical School in the spring of 2023.
