In Stendal ist der Neubau des stationären Hospizes in der Endphase. Mitte August soll die Einweihung sein. Die Hospizarbeit in Stendal gibt es schon seit über 25 Jahren. Von Anfang an dabei ist Pfarrer Ulrich Paulsen. Er sagt, idealerweise werden Menschen am Lebensende durch den ambulanten Hospizdienst so lange wie möglich zu Hause versorgt:
