w/ Rabbi Dovid Leib Shmerlingד"ה ויהי מקץ שנתיים ימים ופרעה חולם.ישנו שר המשקים בנפש, דהנה יסוד המים הוא במוח, ויסוד האש הוא בלב, שהאהבה והצמאון הוא בלב, והמים - המוח הוא המשכה מלמעלה למטה ע"י תומ"צ לרוות את צמאון האש – הלב. והבחי' שמחברת את המים והאש הוא הקנה.והנה הגפן הוא ענין נש"י והענבים הם נשמות פרטיות, ובתוך הענבים ישנה אהבה מסותרת ומגלים אותה ע"י דריכה בגת שהו"ע "והוי שפל רוח בפני כל אדם". ופרעה בקדושה הו"ע מדריגה נעלית מאוד דאתפריעו ואתגלי מיניה כל נהורין. וע"י שר המשקים (מגלים את האהבה המסותרת ומגלים אותה ומעלים אותה לבחי' פרעה דקדושה ועי"ז הנה – מתורת חיים -) נמשך מפרעה גילוי האהבה מלמעלה מעלה מהשגת בני אדם.והנה אח"כ צריך להיות "בשווקים וברחובות בקשתי את שאהבה נפשי, אחזתיו ולא ארפנו עד שהבאתיו אל בית אמי ואל חדר הורתי", שהו"ע המשכת האהבה בכלים דתומ"צ, כי בלי כלים מסתלק האור, ולכן אם האהבה הוא לרוות צמאון נפשו לבד ואינו כברא דאשתדל בתר אבויי ואימי' להמשיך אוא"ס ע"י תומ"צ לצורך גבוה, יכול להיות שלא יעסוק בתומ"צ ויסתלק האור.וזהו "ולא זכר שר המשקים את יוסף וישכחהו, ויהי מקץ". שע"י "ולא זכר שר המשקים את יוסף", שלא זכר להוסיף תענוג למעלה נעשה "ויהי מקץ" סוף ותכלה ל"שנתיים" – בחי' התורה. ועי"ז "ופרעה חולם" שהמדות אהוי"ר שהיו לו נעשים דמיון וחלום מפני שהאור מסתלק ואז המדות נרגשים שזהו"ע "שבע פרות הטובות" ומזה נעשה "עוד שבע פרות אחרות... ולא נודע כי באו אל קרבנה", שנדמה לו שלא התפלל כלל.ויהי מקץ שנתיים ימים (לא, ג)ויהי מקץ שנתיים ימים ופרעה חולם והנה עומד על היאור (לא, ג)הנה כמו שבהקב"ה ישנו סתים וגליא כך גם בנש"י. דסתים של הנשמה הוא הוא בחי' פנימיות חב"ד, וגליא הוא בחי' אהוי"ר.והנה יש פרעה בקדושה, שהו"ע איתגליאו ואיתפרעיה מינה כל נהורין, עלמא דאתגליא, ומזה משתלשל פרעה דקליפה שאומר לא ידעתי את הוי'. דהנה כתיב מי יעלה לנו השמימה, ר"ת מילה וס"ת הוי', שמעלה הוא שיאיר עלינו אור ה' בהתגלות צריך להיות מילה, אך אח"כ צריך להיות פריעה, שהוא הסרת קליפה הדקה שהו"ע תאוות שמקליפת נוגה, והעצה לזה הוא בחי' ונפשי כעפר לכל תהי', כי פרעה אותיות העפר, ועי"ז יקרע המסך שהוא מגסות הרוח, וזהו הטעם חיבורי עוה"ז שהוא להשפיל גסות רוח האדם.ו(Sichos.net)Support the show ★ Support this podcast ★

The Nesiim “educated”, expanded the capacity of the Avodah in the BH”M through overwhelming it with gifts and Karabanos. This is what allowed the everyday Karbanos to achieve what they needed to. On Chanukah, through our MS”N, we elicited a new Gilui in Torah and in the world.כה אמר ה' אם בדרכי תלך כו' ונתתי לך מהלכים (ל, א)המלאכים, וכן הנשמות לפני שירדו למטה הם בבחי' עומדים, מפני שהם מבחי' אותיות הדיבור (והנשמות הם מאותיות המחשבה), ואותיות הם בחי' דומם. וע"י אתעדל"ת דנש"י למטה נעשה במלאכים בחי' ובשניים יעופף. ויובן בהקדים ענין ממלא וסובב, שממלא הוא כפי סדר המדרגות, וענים קדוש הוא המשכת בחי' סובב.והנה, המשנה עצמה אינה צריכה תיקון וירדה כדי לברר את נה"ב ע"י ההתבוננות בשמע ישראל. וכדי שיהי' ואהבת בשני יצריך הוא ע"י ההתבוננות בשורש נה"ב, והו"ע ברכת ק"ש המדבר בשירת ואהבת המלאכים שהם שורש נה"ב.וזהו ענין סוס ורוכבו, שכשנה"א רוכבת על נה"ב הנה אז העלאת הנה"ב היא ביתר שאת מפני ששרשה גובה יותר, ואתעדל"ת דהאהבה של נה"ב מעלה את המלאכים מלמטה למעלה שיהיו בבחי' ביטול באוא"ס ב"ה.וכן הוא ע"י המשכת אוא"ס ע"י עסק שישראל עוסקים בתורה ובמצות, שזה פועל המשכת אוא"ס, מלמעלה למטה, גם על המלאכים. וזהו "מהלכים" לשון רבים, שישראל פועלים על המלאכים בב' מיני הילוך מלמטה למעלה ומלמעלה למטה.וכל זה הוא דוקא "אם בדרכי תלך" דרך הוא התומ"צ המחבר מעלה ומטה. "וגם אתה תדין את ביתי" הואבחי' גבורות לעולם ירגיז גו', בחי' זיעתן של חיות, שע"י היראה מתגבר יסוד האש ויוצא בחי' מים שהו"ע הזיעה. ובחי' הגבורות פועל על "ביתי" הוא בחי' נה"א (בית הוא מקורה, היינו שיש בו בחי' סובב שפועל שמירה), ועי"ז "תשמור את חצרי" הוא בחי' נה"ב (חתר שאינה מקורה הצריכה שימור). Vayeshev YaakovTorah Or 26b-27bOutline“Veyshev Yaakov bieretz migurei aviv beretz Canaan”Q- What is the meaning of the repetition of “eretz”, which implies two different ways of drawing elokus into the world?Q2- we need to understand why Eretz Yisrael is called Eretz CenaanEvery aspect of Torah (including characters and geographical locations) exists in both the realm of Holiness and the Unholy. Canaan here refers to an investor, which represents the aspect of Elokus (Malchus) and ourselves (Nefesh Elokis) that “invests” itself in the world for the sake of refining it. Although the soul loses the heightened experiences of Love and Fear (Silver and Gold) that it experienced above through its descent into this world, through Reusah Delibah/Teshuvah Ilaah we reach Atzmus, beyond Hishtalshelus. Our experiences of love and fear, in both this world and Above, are founded upon our appreciation for Elokus. But Hashem Himself cannot be appreciated through reason, but only through Reusah Delibah. In the times of the Beis Hamikdash, there was a geographical location where one could experience Reusah Delibah. Now, we access Reusah Delibah through contemplating our distance from Hashem. This constitutes Hishapcha, which is the purpose of Creation. (However, before we can reach this level of RD”L, we need to achieve the level of Yiraah Tataah, which requires contemplating the way Hashem is found within creation.)“Hakol Kol Yaakov”: There are two types of voice: one which is heard, and one which isn’t. These represent Torah and RD”L. For one to be a channel for Torah in such a way that the Torah “speaks through him”, he must first experience the bittul of RD”L.“Vayeshev Yaakov…”: Yaakov (one who studies Torah) must first experience the bittul of RD”L if he is to draw down the highest levels (Chochmah Ilaah) into this world. This avodah is that of Yehudah Ilaah.Yehudah Tataah, which allows for the maintenance of the world through Malchus, is achieved by drawing down from Chessed, through the fulfillment of the Mitzvot, and especially Tzedakah.
