Encrypted Notepad 2 to secure your notes with industrial strength encryption
Encrypted Notepad 2 is as you might have guessed, a notepade to make encrypted notes. Encrypted Notepad 2 was featured on Destination Linux 374 as the Software Spotlight. To watch the full episode go to https://destinationlinux.net/374Sometimes you just need to take back control of your privacy and keep your notes out of meta data crawlers. This offline basic text editor features encryption using AES-256 and stored in the PGP/OpenPGP .asc format. Tuxedo Computers teases Snapdragon X Elite Prototype Linux Laptop!
At Computex 2024 there was some very exciting news. There is a Tuxedo prototype laptop powered by the Snapdragon X Elite 12 Core ARM Processor. If you enjoyed this clip, then check out the full episode of Destination Linux by going to https://destinationlinux.net/374The prototype is built in a premium all-aluminium body, and a weight of just 1.36 kg. Its 14-inch display features a 2560 x 1600 resolution (16:10), with 400 nits maximum brightness, and 100% sRGB coverage. The SoC is wired to 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory, and storage is in the form of an M.2-2280 Gen 4 slot. Given the platform’s low TDP, Tuxedo has given this a lightweight 50 Wh battery. Connectivity includes USB4 and HDMI. The company is working on a Linux distribution and software support package that ensures every hardware component on the platform is fully exposed and supported by the OS, which is why the company considers this still a prototype. This is huge news because up to this point, Windows has been the only platform being discussed by major hardware vendors…Tuxedo is making themselves more and more of a standout Linux device supplier and if they can get this to market it will make a big splash with the geeks like usLinks:https://destinationlinux.net/374https://www.tuxedocomputers.com/en/In-the-media-TUXEDO-prototype-with-ARM-chipset-from-Qualcomm.tuxedo...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BirxND8RrIY
