On March 8, 2026, Iowa and the US will observe daylight saving time, setting clocks forward one hour at 2 AM central time. This will extend evening daylight through the summer. Daylight saving time runs from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November. While most states participate, Hawaii, parts of Arizona, and several territories remain on standard time. President Trump has expressed interest in ending daylight saving time, but no action has been taken yet.
