Sergeant Declan Coady, a 20-year-old from Iowa, was among six U.S. soldiers killed in an Iranian drone strike in Kuwait. Coady, a cybersecurity student and recent sergeant, was studying at Drake University while serving with the one hundred third Sustainment Command. Iowa leaders, including Governor Kim Reynolds, Senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst, and Representative Zach Nunn, paid tribute to Coady and the other fallen soldiers. The Pentagon identified three other soldiers, with two remaining unnamed. Army Reserve leaders expressed condolences and vowed to honor their legacy.
