Attention, Ankeny drivers! From April 13th, the northbound I-35 on-ramp at Northeast 36th Street will be closed until mid-November due to a major project by the Iowa DOT. This is to build new northbound lanes from Ankeny to Huxley. The detour involves taking I-35 south to East First Street, then looping back onto northbound. Expect traffic backups near Costco and other business areas during rush hours. Once the new lanes are open, traffic will shift back, and the ramp will reopen.
