Erin Schneider, a dean at Des Moines Area Community College, has been appointed to the Ankeny School Boards open at-large seat. She replaces Roxanne Petersen, who resigned after winning the seat in November. Schneiders background in education and her service mindset made her a strong fit for the role. She was chosen from nineteen candidates and was sworn in at last nights meeting. Her term will last until the next regular election in 2027.
