Dr. Tony Aylsworth, currently leading Pleasantville Community School District, has been selected as the new superintendent for Southeast Polk Board of Education. Known for his energy, authenticity, and commitment to student success, Aylsworth will replace Dr. Dirk Halupnik, who retires after eleven years of service. Halupniks tenure saw two bond referendums, a thirty percent tax levy cut, and national academic honors. Aylsworth, who guided several bond and levy measures in Pleasantville, starts July first.
