Show Notes
The owners of The Hall, a West Des Moines bar, face a lawsuit from their landlord for unpaid rent and missing equipment. The couple, Maria Mendoza and Jorge Sanchez, took over the bar last September but closed it down after the city council rejected their liquor license application due to Mendozas past fraud and tax evasion case. The landlord claims they owe $44,000 in back rent and took $140,000 worth of items. The couples lawyers have yet to respond to the lawsuit.
