RTD Rail and Bus Services in Denver Undergo Major Changes Starting June 7th
RTD is implementing significant alterations to its rail and bus services in the Denver metro area, effective June 7th. The D, H, and L lines will be temporarily suspended, while the C Line will resume operations all the way to Union Station. A new temporary T Line will also launch along the Southeast Corridor.
The R Line will extend south to RidgeGate Parkway Station with more frequent trains, and the B and G lines will see enhanced schedules. These adjustments align with the next phase of RTDs multi-year Downtown Rail Reconstruction Project, aiming to maintain smooth commuting despite construction disruptions.
The T Line will operate every fifteen minutes on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., with adjusted evening hours and weekend schedules. Bus routes will also see improvements, with a Clean Transit Enterprise grant boosting twelve key routes to higher frequencies, longer hours, and better connections.
Riders are encouraged to check the RTD app or website for precise timings, as the E and W lines will also adjust for better connections. These changes aim to reduce wait times and fill gaps caused by the rail work.
