Show Notes

Karl Haglund, a 49-year-old Massachusetts man, was sentenced to three years of probation and 90 days of house arrest for driving his pickup truck onto the University of Colorado Boulders Folsom Field. He pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment and criminal mischief, causing damages between $2,000 and $5,000. The incident occurred in September 2024 after Haglund crashed into trees and signs, led police on a chase, and rammed a gate, tearing up the fields turf. Despite the judge describing it as an extremely dangerous rampage, Haglunds addiction struggles and sobriety since the incident were considered. He received 150 hours of community service and credit for 63 days already served. Several serious charges were dismissed in a plea deal, and Haglund had a prior probation sentence in Boulder County for driving while impaired in 2002.
