Show Notes

Jack Crabtree, the legendary University of Oregon quarterback, passed away at ninety. He was the MVP of the 1958 Rose Bowl and inducted into multiple halls of fame. Born in California, Crabtree played at San Bernardino Junior College before transferring to Oregon. In his senior year, he led the Ducks to a Rose Bowl victory, earning MVP honors. Despite being drafted by the Eagles, military service delayed his pro career. He later tried out for the Broncos and Chargers but never played a regular-season game. Crabtrees legacy lives on through his inductions into the Oregon Sports, Rose Bowl, and Oregon Athletic Halls of Fame.
