I also examine DeSimone’s film The Idol, a coming-of-age film that involves real dialogue and genuine acting as the lead character comes to terms with his sexuality. And finally Jack Wrangler, a 70’s gay porn icon, turned cabaret producer who was a legend in his time and whose stardom coincided with the gay liberation movement making him a role model for many men.
