On this week’s Democracy Sausage podcast Mark Kenny and his guests, Graeme Smith and Lyndal Curtis, gather around the hotplate of public affairs to discuss the chill in China’s relationships in the region. The panel also tackles golf course diplomacy, Greta Thunberg’s powerful speech to the UN, impeachment in the US, and the latest chapter in Brexit.
Mark Kenny is a Senior Fellow in the ANU Australian Studies Institute. He came to the university after a high-profile journalistic career including six years as chief political correspondent and national affairs editor for The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, and The Canberra Times.
Graeme Smith is a fellow in the ANU Department of Pacific Affairs. He also hosts the Little Red Podcast with the Australian Centre for China in the World.
Lyndal Curtis covered federal politics for most of the last 25 years, 21 of those with the ABC. She is a winner of the Paul Lyneham Award for Excellence in Press Gallery reporting. Lyndal has worked as Political Editor for ABC News and Bureau Chief for Sky News Australia.
