Dekmantel Podcast 012 - Joey Anderson

Following in the wake of other like-minded East Coast producers like Levon Vincent, Anthony Parasole and Fred P, Joey Anderson is the latest offering in a fresh load of artists hailing from New York. Like his predecessors the American reached a wider audience at a relatively late age, and also like those before him, Anderson can do a lot with very little. The art of omission is mastered by this techno stalwart, who quickly became a Dekmantel family member by both performing at our events and releasing an impressive album on Dekmantel Records. This 12th instalment to the Dekmantel podcast series sees a beautifully build up mix. As Joey proofed at his Panoramabar set in March, he warms up a crowd like no other. This mix starts of with some deeper tracks, examplarery for the New York sound Joey represents. Towards the end the podcast becomes more techno and features “1974” from his latest EP on the Dekmantel label.
