Following Debi's call out for other victims, witnesses and perpetrators to come forward, Debi starts the episode with Darren, who explains how he made a lucky escape from von Einem and another man in costume when he was hitchhiking in Adelaide at 17 years of age. Then Debi and director of the TV series Chris Thorburn, return to the David Szach investigation to deep dive into the life of murder victim Derrance Stevenson, including his friendship with Italian chiropractor Gino Gambardella. Debi then meets with author Tom Mann who describes the nature of Stevenson's Friday night sex parties, and unpacks the flawed forensics that helped convict David.
