<p>Sinds de Tweede Wereldoorlog zijn radicaal-rechtse partijen niet meer zo succesvol geweest als nu. Denk in Europa alleen al aan de populaire partij van Marine Le Pen ((Rassemblement National), Alice Weidel (AfD) en die van Geert Wilders (PVV). Ook in het Europees Parlement hebben de twee uiterst rechtse fracties nu zo’n 131 zetels. Politiek socioloog dr. Matthijs Rooduijn (UvA) is gespecialiseerd in de populistische kiezer en onderzoekt het succes van deze partijen. Zijn de partijen milder geworden of is de kiezer radicaler? Of is populistisch-rechts gewoon hip? </p>
