Show Notes
Matt Snell, the New York Jets running back who scored the teams only touchdown in their historic Super Bowl III victory, passed away at 84. Snell, who rushed for 121 yards against the Baltimore Colts, was the first running back to surpass 100 rushing yards in a Super Bowl. Despite an Achilles injury ending his career, Snells tough work ethic and key contributions earned him a place in Jets history and helped bridge the gap between the AFL and NFL.
