Show Notes

Forty-eight-year-old Bernard Schuler from Moraine, Ohio, was sentenced to forty-two to forty-seven and a half years in prison for a brutal attack on a seventy-six-year-old homeowner in Kettering. The assault, which occurred on February tenth, 2025, involved Schuler tricking his way into the home, holding the victim at gunpoint, and beating him before binding him with duct tape and stealing his belongings. The elderly man was found seriously injured, highlighting the vulnerability of seniors in quiet neighborhoods. Schuler, who was already a registered sex offender on probation for failing to update his address near a school, was convicted on eleven felony counts, including aggravated robbery, felonious assault, abduction, kidnapping, and grand theft of a vehicle, as well as weapons and disrupting services charges.
