Legendary college football coach Lou Holtz, known for his fiery passion and high standards, has passed away at 89. Holtz coached at six major programs, winning over 249 games and a national championship at Notre Dame. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2008 and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2020. Holtz is survived by family and will be honored with a funeral mass at Notre Dames Basilica of the Sacred Heart.
