James Caplinger, a dedicated public servant and lawyer, has passed away at 87. His career spanned various sectors, including city management, higher education, social research, and law. He served as Springfields city manager and Unity Colleges president, and later focused on affordable legal help and community boards. A Ceremony of Life will be held on March 24th at Richards, Raff, and Dunbar in Springfield.
