Show Notes
Celina, Ohio police are investigating a bank fraud attempt from March 11th at Peoples Bank, where a woman in disguise tried to access a local residents account using a stolen identity. A sharp-eyed bank teller foiled the scheme. The incident is linked to three other close calls at banks across Mercer County, involving a man and woman team, possibly with accomplices. A tip led to the arrest of a matching suspect, 54-year-old Robert Candidus from New York, who is now charged with identity fraud. Multiple agencies assisted in the investigation, and detectives are still seeking leads. If you have any information, contact Detective A.J. Poppe at 419-586-2345.
