Celina, Ohio police are investigating a bank fraud attempt from March 11th at Peoples Bank, where a woman in disguise tried to access a local residents account using a stolen identity. A sharp-eyed bank teller foiled the scheme. The incident is linked to three other close calls at banks across Mercer County, involving a man and woman team, possibly with accomplices. A tip led to the arrest of a matching suspect, 54-year-old Robert Candidus from New York, who is now charged with identity fraud.
