Having studied Law, Economics and History in the Universities of Tübingen and Cambridge, he received a PhD. In Ethiopian History at the Goethe University of Frankfurt. He is now engaged as a Consultant for African & Middle Eastern Affairs, is a bestselling Author and a renowned Political Analyst. He is Patron of many welfare organisations and an Honorary Senator of the University of Tübingen.
