Als Experte für das Cembalo ist im Barock vor allem Domenico Scarlatti bekannt - über 500 Sonaten hat er dafür geschrieben. Aber auch sein Vater Alessandro Scarlatti konnte diesem Instrument einiges abgewinnen. Das bezeugen etwa seine 6 wunderschönen Cembalokonzerte.
