Die Symphonie Nr. 4 von Jean Sibelius wird gerne avantgardistisch genannt. Unter anderem, weil Sibelius die Symphonie aus einem Kern entwickelt - ausgerechnet aus dem Tritonus. Der Dirigent Sir Colin Davis sah in ihr die Reise in den Tod. Mit ihm sprach BR-KLASSIK über dieses Starke Stück.
