20.10.1596: Mit 28 Jahren wurde William Shakespeare zum ersten Mal als ernsthafter Dramatiker genannt. Viel hieß das allerdings noch nicht, denn das Viertel, in dem er spielte, galt als asozial. Aber Shakespeare war zäh und schaffte es als kleiner Immobilienhai zum kleinen Landadligen. Seit dem 20. Oktober 1596 hieß er offiziell: William Shakespeare of Stratford upon Avon, in the county of Warwick, gentleman.
