Am 29. Januar 1929 erschien Erich Maria Remarques Antikriegsbuch "Im Westen nichts Neues". Gerade einmal 10 Jahre war da der Weltkrieg vorbei, und schon brannte die Lunte am Pulverfass zum nächsten.
