Der französische Journalist Jules Huret war ganz begeistert, als er um 1900 durch Deutschland reiste und eine Reportage zum Thema "Reinlichkeit und Hygiene" schrieb. Der Erfolg hatte einen Namen: Reichsnahrungsmittelgesetzes. Am 14. Mai 1879 war es in Kraft getreten.
