Milliardenkredit an die DDR: Die wirtschaftlich marode DDR hatte sich mit der Bitte um Gewährung eines Milliardenkredits an die Bundesrepublik gewandt. Am 29. Juni 1983 stand fest: Die Bundesregierung übernahm die Bürgschaft für einen Kredit in Höhe von einer Milliarde Mark an die DDR.
