29.01.1763: Johann Gottfried Seume, geb. am 29.01.1763, gelangweilter "Buchstabeninspektor", also Lektor in Grimma, wird für seine Reisebeschreibung "Spaziergang nach Syrakus" berühmt. Sein Bekenntnis zum Wandern gilt noch heute: "Wer zu Fuß geht, sieht anthropologisch und kosmisch mehr, als wer fährt."
