Die Biene Maja hat ihre Leinwandkarriere als Stummfilmstar begonnen. Am 8. April 1926 ist die Darstellerin - eine echte Honigbiene - zum ersten Mal in Berlin über die Leinwand gesummt. Nach der Erstaufführung war man begeistert.
