16.11.1855: "Mosi oa tunya" - hier tost Rauch, nannten die Makalolo die Stelle, wo der Sambesi auf einer Breite von 1708 Metern 99 Meter in die Tiefe stürzt - die Viktoria-Fälle, heute an der Grenze zwischen Sambia und Simbabwe. Am 16. November 1855 sah der Brite David Livingstone als erster Europäer dieses Naturschauspiel.
