Der Münchner Glaspalst galt als nicht brennbar mit seiner modernen Konstruktion aus Glas und Gusseisen. Am 6. Juni 1931 brannte er völlig ab und mit ihm eine Ausstellung erstklassiger Gemälde der Romantik.
