عَنْ یَعْلَی بنِ مُرّۃَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ:
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
أَمَا إِذْ ذَکَرْتَ ہٰذَا مِنْ أَمْرِہِ فَإِنَّہُ شَکَا
کَثْرَۃَ الْعَمَلِ وَقِلَّۃَ الْعَلَفِ فَأَحْسِنُوا إِلَیْہِ

تم نے اسکےمتعلق جو کچھ ذکر کیا ہے،
وہ اپنی جگہ درست ہےدراصل بات یہ
ہے کہ اس نے کام کی کثرت اور گھاس
کی کمی کی شکایت کی ہے، تم اس کے
ساتھ اچھا سلوک کیا کرو
