Special Feature Interview: Lisa Interviews Sterling Mathis, owner of Hotel of Terror in Springfield, Missouri. Opening in 1978, Hotel of Terror is one of the longest continuously-operating haunt attractions in the United States. The building is also a historic building, built in 1912 and was the Texas Hotel. Dark Ozarks fans may also be interested to hear that the building is really haunted as well. Hotel of Terror now faces an eminent domain challenge by the City of Springfield, Missouri which threatens its continued operation.
