Israel Keyes is among the most evil, sadistic, and terrifying serial killers ever caught. He had no MO, no victim preference, and no pattern. What he did to Samantha Koenig is horrifying. He didn't care who he killed. He buried "kill kits" all over the country and to this day, we do not know how many he killed or where those kits are buried.

If you ask 100 True Crime creators their Top 5 most disturbing stories, 90 of them will say the story of Israel Keyes is in their Top 5. Raised as a white supremacist, Keyes hated most everyone. He began killing as a teenager. He is terrifying because he does not follow any of the patterns we know about serial killers. He has no victim profile, no preference, and no pattern. He began traveling the country burying "kill kits" in isolated places like campgrounds, parks and cemeteries. Whenever he was ready, he would travel to one of those locations, dig up his "kill kit" and simply wait for someone to walk by. His killings are random and terrifying. So are the writings and paintings found in his jail cell made in his own blood.
