This story will make you angry. When Kathleen and Carl Schroll are found shot to death in their home, the police examine the scene and determine it was a murder suicide. Their theory changes when they find out that Kathleen Schroll made a phone call to her mother moments for her death claiming that her enemy Pete Coones was in her house trying to kill her. This is a story of abuse and greed but above all else, it is a story of horrible injustice and failures in the system.

Pete Coones father Olin was elderly and in poor health. His caretaker, Kathleen Schroll was intentionally driving a wedge between Pete and his father. Then Pete found out that Olin had signed his house and all his property over to Kathleen Schroll. A court battle ensued and Kathleen was losing. Then, she and her husband Carl Schroll ended up dead, shot to death in their own home. The police examined the scene and said it was a murder suicide but then they found out Kathleen made a phone call just before her death stating that Pete Coones was in her house. Pete Coones was arrested and put on trial for the double murder and what happens at that trial is shocking
