The Chicago Bears didn’t open free agency with a massive splash, but they absolutely addressed key needs on defense. Chicago added speed, versatility, and depth—the two traits clearly shaping the identity of the 2027 Bears defense.
Over in baseball, the World Baseball Classic delivered a wildly entertaining night. USA–Mexico was electric (even with John Smoltz on the call), and Cuba–Puerto Rico brought high‑energy baseball and a broadcast that matched it.
In the NBA, the Atlanta Hawks had their Magic City promotional night shut down by the league office—an event that probably shouldn’t have made the promo calendar in the first place.
