The Chicago Bears fell short in a wild shootout against the San Francisco 49ers, losing 42-38 in a game that featured over 900 yards of total offense. Rookie QB Caleb Williams threw two touchdowns and delivered one of his best performances of the season, giving the Bears a chance to win on the final play.
