Texas Public Opinion Research Poll: Paxton Leads Cornyn in Republican Senate Runoff
In a new poll, Attorney General Ken Paxton holds a solid lead over Senator John Cornyn in the upcoming Republican Senate runoff. Paxton, who received forty-nine percent of the vote, has a significant advantage among those who voted for Representative Wesley Hunt in the primary, as well as among men, younger voters, and those without college degrees. Even a potential endorsement from President Trump wouldnt flip the race for Cornyn, as Paxtons lead would only grow if Trump backs him. The runoff election is set for May twenty-sixth.
