Show Notes

Artemis Twos Orion capsule, carrying a four-person crew, successfully launched from Kennedy Space Center and performed a key engine burn, breaking free from Earths orbit. This marks the first crewed flight on a Lockheed Martin Orion and the first moon trip since Apollo Seventeen in 1972. The crew is set to fly 252,000 miles out, farther than Apollo Thirteens crew, to prove Orions capability for deep space runs and pave the way for south pole landings in 2028. NASA plans regular moon shots every six months, investing $20 billion over seven years to develop faster launches and a lunar base.
