Show Notes
While healthy weight loss in midlife might improve memory and attention, studies on the link between weight loss and dementia are complex and inconclusive. Some research suggests weight loss may be an early feature or a consequence of dementia, while other studies link weight loss with an increased risk of developing dementia, especially Alzheimer's disease. Maintaining a stable weight, especially in older age, is associated with better cognitive health.
