Show Notes

The world's largest airline pilot union does not support SpaceX's proposal to boost annual Falcon rocket launches from 50 to 120 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, and environmental groups and commercial fishing interests are concerned about negative impacts on wildlife and the nearshore Atlantic Ocean ecosystem.

SpaceX officials seek to modify the company's Federal Aviation Administration license to launch more rockets from Launch Complex 40, where the company sends up Falcon 9 rockets. SpaceX also proposes to build a new 280-foot-diameter concrete landing zone for rocket boosters near the launch pad.
